About Teen Challenge

History

In 1958, David Wilkerson travelled to New York City to start a ministry to teenagers involved in drugs and gangs.  Over the next 50 years, the organization he founded would transform thousands of men and women through the power of Jesus Christ, breaking the cycles of drug addiction, alcoholism, gang life and other life-controlling problems.  Teen Challenge is now recognized as one of the most successful addiction recovery programs in the world with an over 80% success rate.  It has earned endorsements from prominent leaders such as Billy Graham, Chuck Colson, three U.S. Presidents, and dozens of world leaders.
